Vehicle Inspection Tick list
If you're considering a second user car to buy you ought to have a complete vehicle inspection done previous to buy. This inspection should be performed by a professional automobile mechanic. This will help to ensure the car has been tested and checked. This may give you, as the purchaser, reassurance in realizing that the automobile you are about to spend your hard earned cash for is in the best running condition. No one wants to get a used auto and finish up having to pay big bucks for those high-priced repairs. An inspection will warn you of any possible problems in the future.
It is OK if you test the automobile, but are you qualified to listen for certain things during acceleration? Do you know what to test for while the vehicle is in drive? A certified engineer will know what to have a look for when test driving the vehicle during the vehicle inspection. They'll take the car out and drive it at different speeds, testing the acceleration. They're going to test the alignment and the brakes. They can hear the sound of the engine and transmission and can tell if there might be possible issues.
Once the engineer test drives the vehicle they can park it and keep going with the vehicle inspection. They can lift the hood and have a look at engine and all the connections. They will examination the belts and hoses searching for any wear or tears or holes. They're going to look at the wires and spark plugs. They will check out the fuel pump and radiator. They're going to check the liquid levels and quality in the coolant and anti-freeze, oil, power steering fluid and transmission fluid. They can test the battery to find out how much life is left in the charge. They're going to look at the alternator and regulator.
The vehicle inspection will keep going with a glance at the body of the auto. Close up inspection of the painting and searching for any dents or scrapes. The engineer will also inspect the underside for wear on the transmission and exhaust and to have a look at the oil pan. Next they are going to look at the inside of the vehicle. The upholstery and flooring will be checked for water damage, a signal the auto has been in a flood. They are going to check out the instrument panel and make sure all gages work correctly.
Once the vehicle inspection is finished the mechanic will write a meticulous report of their discoveries and present it to you. At about that point you can decide if you'd like to buy the car or not. If they find nothing wrong, then you can make the purchase with a clear conscious. If they find issues you can either bow out of the sale or you need to use the report as a bargaining tool and talk the sales price down. This service is invaluable and any person who's wanting to buy a second user automobile should get an inspection. Having the inspection report will also help if you make a decision to buy the vehicle then sell it in the future.

1985 caprice window doesn't work.?
I have a 1985 caprice with manual windows (not electric) well the endow won't roll down themanual regulator is messed up... seems u can't order that part from chevy or any parts store... so how can i fix the window? Even if i go to a junk yard and try to get the manual regulator its not screwed on its held by 3 bolts that arn't made to come off. Not really sure what i could do, i really don't wanna get another door all together from a wreck yard and then have to paint the car as it was freshly painted a year agoo.
get the regulator at the junk yard you will have to drill out the bolts(big pop rivets) just have to replace them with bolt and lock nuts
