Oklahoma Accidents - Three True Stories Involving Personal Injury Accidents in Oklahoma
Devastating accidents in Oklahoma occur everyday. Accidents that involve tire defects, building explosions, semi truck accidents, wrongful death, car accidents, workplace injuries due to negligence and many other types of accidents are much more common than the public realizes. Here are three short but true stories involving an SUV roll-over, work related death caused by a defective tire design and another example of poor vehicle engineering.
- Jane was driving an SUV when the vehicle rolled over. The roof was crushed and the tempered glass shattered. Although Jane's seat belt was latched, her head was partially ejected from the vehicle and she was killed. Her husband sued the car manufacturer claiming that the driver's seat belt enabled excessive movement during the accident, that the roof lacked strength to support the forces of a rollover and finally, the tempered glass in combination with the collapsing roof allowed partial ejection of Jane's head. The good news is that Jane's family received a multi-million dollar cash settlement.
- Joey had just finished mounting a heavy-duty tractor tire on its rim when the tire failed with such explosive force that Joey was killed. He was survived by a wife and small children. His family brought a workers' compensation claim as well as a wrongful death suit against the tire manufacturer, alleging a defective tire design caused the accident. Result: Joey's family a received workers' compensation benefits and a substantial cash settlement from the tire.
- Carla was traveling with her family on an interstate highway when the tread of her left rear tire separated causing loss of vehicle control and a rollover accident. Carla's seat belt unlatched during the accident and she was ejected from the vehicle. She and other family members sustained serious injuries. The family sued the vehicle and tire manufactures and received large cash settlements from bother manufacturers.
The three true Oklahoma accidents were settled in favor of the victims but that is not always the case and many times families suffer not only form the loss of a loved one but financially as well. haha so i got his numbe rand texted him that night but he fell asleep and facebook chatted me and apologized the next day (saturday)
