Are Planes Really the Safest Way to Travel?
A vast amount of people are becoming more and more scared of flying throughout the world, and this is due down to the amount of air incidents that are occurring over the last few years. People have always said that air travel is the safest way to travel, but is that still the case.
The increase in low cost air travel has seen a major reduction in repairs and servicing of aircrafts. This has all led to more delays. A personal story of mine was that I went to go on holiday, and when leaving the UK the plane was initially delayed for two hours because they could not get the doors open to offload the passengers. Because they were running late as soon as they offloaded the people, they put us on the aeroplane as quickly as possible so that hey could get back and pick up more passengers.
But what actually happened was that whilst we were in the air we had to make an emergency landing because one of the engines had stopped working, it was a bad experience. So is air travel really as safe as driving new cars? In my opinion it is not, basically if you are involved in a car collision then you are less likely to die. But being involved in an air accident you are 99% likely not to survive.
As mentioned above I believe the main cause of this is because of economy flights, the flights are so cheap that the airlines simply want to fly them as much as they can during the day so they can make more money. So instead of giving the jets a break and getting them serviced they are instead non stop being used to collect more money.

I have pcs orders for air travel, can i drive?
I am a marine in c school, and my orders are for air travel, but I have a car and would like to drive, but cannot change my orders to POV because of certain reasons. Basically im asking if that's allowed?

So if your mileage was calculated at $520.00 and airfare only cost the government $400.00. All you are going to get s $400.00 for mileage reimbursement.
